Just another day of life…

Yesterday was A very long and stressful day. After sitting on the floor all night with a laboring dane mom cuddled close, we arrived at vet office at 9:00 am and left at 5:00pm. Those of you who know of our 19 years of breeding, remember totally astounding and wonderful blessings as well as the most terrifying moments possible that could be endured in a whelping experience. Because of these many years of life experiences, we realize that things can go downhill within minutes with catastrophic results. Nothing prepared me for whelping like my many years of working in human labor and delivery. Whelping is serious business. Yesterday, end-of-day results were relief, happiness and broke (🙄) as we loaded mom and her 11 precious wee ones into the RV for trip home.  Not one little heartbeat was lost… including mommas! All the boys and girls have those darling white tipped tails.. except for the lilac fawn little boy. They all are showing  or carry tanpoint, blue and chocolate, some pie. Total little packages of yummy goodies! Greatful for competent vets when we need them !
